Jan. 31 Global Fair to introduce students to international, exchange programs

澳门开奖历史记录 students won鈥檛 need a passport to learn about the variety of international and exchange programs available to them during the upcoming Global Education Fair on Thursday, Jan. 31. The annual spring event is scheduled for 12 to 3 p.m. in the university鈥檚 Legacy Museum.
鈥淭his spring鈥檚 fair will celebrate students who have not only studied abroad, but have studied away at other campuses through programs like our new National Student Exchange partnership,鈥� said Dr. Rhonda Collier, director of the 澳门开奖历史记录 Global Office. 鈥淭uskegee students are widening their perspectives both nationally and internationally. Moreover, we expect exciting student research presentations from Liberia, Israel and India at the event.鈥�
The fair is open and free to members of the university and surrounding communities. During the fair, attendees can learn about the university鈥檚 current study abroad options, the international diversity found within its student body, and the experiences both students and faculty have had through study abroad programs. It also will celebrate the university鈥檚 international presence and the research and outreach work students and faculty do globally.
Also presenting at the fair will be Aiyana Gardner-Mathews of Gardner-Mathews Global Management, a global consulting firm that specializes in business development and special projects. She will briefly discuss global entrepreneurship and the return on investment involved with studying abroad.
Students attending the fair will be eligible for a U.S. passport raffle, provided they have proper documentation, which includes original or certified copies of their birth certificates and state-issued driver鈥檚 licenses. Students must bring originals and copies of all required documents.
On Wednesday, Jan. 30, a pre-fair workshop will feature representatives from IES Abroad, who will provide students considering study abroad opportunities with valuable scholarship and travel information. During this workshop, which is scheduled for 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. in 70-122 John A. Kenney Hall, IES Abroad will raffle a $500 travel voucher.
Collier noted that as many as 50 to 75 Tuskegee students participate in study abroad programs annually 鈥� with most doing so during the summer months. This spring, she said several students are participating in semester-long programs in Africa and Europe. Other students are participating in the university鈥檚 newly established partnership with the National Student Exchange, which provides students access to attend schools all over the U.S., Guam, the U.S. Virgin Islands and Canada as an exchange student.
