Looking for places to eat in Washington Downton or Georgetown? Check out our top vegan restaurants in Washington DC!

Are you in Washington or planning to visit the capital of the United States? We bring our favorite restaurants from this historic city. In the list below, I have some great vegan restaurants that I know you will love. This list ranges from fast food places to fine dining. There are also some of the restaurants that offer a delivery option. So, stop the scrolling and started the ordering.

Fancy Radish

Wonderful place that enjoys keeping their meal fresh because their meal changes with the season. Therefore, you can expect a fantastic in-season meal, which will enhance the flavor within the dish. The owners are a husband-and-wife team that has been in business since 2018. They were also featured in the Washington post with a 3-star rating. At this restaurant, you can call in and make a reservation. They also have the option for delivery with Door Dash.

Our star: SPICY DAN DAN NOODLES

Chaia Tacos

Chaia means life. And taco means taco. At Chaia they live for tacos. Which is why that’s pretty much all you’ll see on the menu. They’ve kept their menu small and simple for a reason; because they want to make their customer’s life easier! So, they offer just five vegetable taco creations at a time, A few outrageously delicious sides, a soup for when it’s cold or hot, and drinks on tap — from kombucha to beer, tea to rosé. If that’s still to much to chose form; order the taco trio and triple your taste sensation.

Our star: BRAISED MUSHROOM ENCHILADAS

Elizabeth’s Gone Raw

This is one of the best restaurants in Washington. The quality of the dishes, the service and the atmosphere is unmatched.

Elizabeth’s Gone Raw began in 2009 as an experiment by founder & owner, Elizabeth Petty. During Elizabeth’s experience with breast cancer she was introduced to plant-based foods as an access to better health, vitality, and peace of mind. It was only natural to use her expertise and reputation in the food industry to share her newfound passion.

Executive Chef Francisco Hernandez, inspired by a quest to prepare food that nurtures the soul, discovered the benefits of a plant-based diet and has been focused on creating sophisticated, innovative vegan recipes for over six years.

Our star: Seasonal Organic Prix Fixe Vegan Menu

Beefsteak

Despite the name, BeefSteak, this is, in fact, a vegan restaurant. Their goal is to give those who follow a plant-based diet a fast food option. Something else that makes this restaurant unique is that it is part of the José Andrés universe. Twice on Time’s “100 Most Influential People” list and awarded “Outstanding Chef” and “Humanitarian of the Year” by the James Beard Foundation, Chef José Andrés is an internationally-recognized culinary innovator.

With this restaurant, Andrés wants to proudly celebrate the unrecognized power of vegetables, as fresh as possible, whether they are the favorites of the year or the best of each season. Deliciously paired veggies with hearty grains, fresh sauces, crunchy greens, and flavorful dressings.

Equinox Restaurant

Equinox Restaurant is a family-owned and operated fine dining institution located a block from the White House. Generations of Washingtonians have been enjoying Chef Todd Gray’s sublime regional seasonal cuisine since he began as a young cook in DC in 1989. In 1999, with his wife and business partner, Ellen Kassoff, Equinox Restaurant was founded. The food and culture of Equinox has consistently reflected the couple’s principal mission for over 22 years: serving innovative cuisine with an unyielding commitment to sustainability.

Chef Todd Gray, Ellen Kassoff, and the entire team at Equinox Restaurant are committed to those values and ethics, year after year, endeavoring to meet regional fine dining with sensible business practices, without neglecting their amazing cuisine.
