This is one of those super-healthy plant-based breakfast ideas, which I’m sure will be loved not only by your kids but everyone in your family!
Before you begin cooking with kids, always make sure you tell them the importance of the ingredients you will be using. I’m listing down the benefits of the key ingredients used in the banana chocolate bread – banana and cacao so that you can easily let your kids know about them too. 😉
Extremely healthy and delicious, bananas are one among the world’s most popular and favorite fruits. Bananas are instant mood lifters, as they contain loads of tryptophan, which is essential for the production of serotonin, the happy hormone. They also contain nutrients that help moderate blood sugar levels. Rich in pectin, bananas have all the fiber you need to keep your gut healthy.
Bananas help not only to improve your digestive health but also aid weight loss. Packed with loads of antioxidants, bananas contribute to a reduced risk of heart ailments and degenerative illnesses.
Known for its smooth, sweet taste, cacao is just what you need to add a dash of sweetness to your banana bread. Rich in fiber, cacao is known to reduce risk as well as symptoms of irritable bowel syndrome and other digestive problems. Full of flavonoids, cacao helps to improve blood flow to the brain and heart, thus preventing blood clots.
Including cacao in your diet can help reduce inflammation throughout your body. With reduced inflammation, you cut down the risk of cancer, diabetes, depression, and even arthritis. Cacao isn’t just a taste-enhancer – it is a powerhouse of essential nutrients such as iron, magnesium, protein, and potassium.
Whipping up healthy recipes for kids is super easy and fun, especially if you choose the right ingredients. The best part about bananas and cacao is that apart from the banana chocolate bread, you can use the ingredients in different fun recipes for kids.
I’m hoping you have just as much fun with your little humans baking warm, brown, and soft banana bread as I did! So let’s get started with how to bake this beauty – here’s the recipe!
