Let’s find out wich are the benefits of green tea ginger mocktail and how to prepare this delicious and healthy recipe!

In the spirit of International Tea Day, today I’ll be sharing how to prepare a healthy green tea ginger mocktail. It’s the same old green tea, but with a twist (you know how I love giving my recipes a modern twist!). Since we have been talking extensively about the harmful effects of alcohol on our bodies and the need to look for alternative beverages, this is just the right time to share the benefits of the green tea ginger mocktail recipe with you all.

Why Opt for The Green Tea Ginger Mocktail Over Alcohol?

This tea mocktail is the perfect substitute for alcohol; and the best part is that it is plant-based, vegan and full of antioxidants. So when you sip on this healthy cocktail, we won’t really have to worry about inflammation in any parts of the body – rather, the body will be full of essential antioxidants that will help combat a whole range of chronic ailments.

For those looking to cut down on their alcohol consumption, it is important to find the perfect alternate drink that you can have when the craving for alcohol kicks in. The strange part about alcohol is that the ill effects of it begin the moment we take the first sip. While an occasional drink is not an issue, the long-term effects of alcohol are definitely worrisome.

Too much alcohol causes abnormal activation of digestive enzymes produced by the pancreas. This further leads to inflammation in the pancreas. The inflammation is not limited to only the pancreas but spreads to other vital organs of the body, such as the liver.

Once the alcohol starts showing its ill effects on the pancreas and liver, the blood sugar levels in the body start to fluctuate in no time. This is because the pancreas is the insulin-secreting organ of the body, which helps regulate blood sugar levels. If this continues for a longer time, the body may experience complications related to diabetes.

We end up consuming alcohol despite the many effects it has on our bodies. ‘Just one drink’ soon turns into addiction before we realize it. Before the addiction intensifies, it’s important to quit or at least limit one’s alcohol consumption.

Benefits of Ginger

This Green Tea Ginger Mocktail recipe is incomplete without a dash of ginger. Ginger is one of the best spices and is a common ingredient in many recipes. It contains gingerol, which aids digestion, reduces nausea, fights the common flu and nagging cold. Ginger has a whole lot of antioxidants and helps in weight loss, too. Consumption of ginger also helps alleviate pain caused by arthritis. It also regulates blood sugar levels as well and improves the health of the heart.

Two takeaways before we begin with the recipe: First, alcohol has harmful long-term side effects on our body. Secondly, green tea with ginger is one the best antioxidant-rich beverages one can consume. On that note, let’s prepare the Green Tea Ginger Mocktail:
