We’ve been talking a lot about food, décor, and the entire holiday vibe. So today, we’ll be covering one important factor, without which the holiday meals are incomplete – drinks! You’ll set the most lavish dinner spread, but it will still be incomplete if there aren’t any drinks out there! Let’s rock with this Holiday Sangria Recipe!

As fun as drinks are, remember, everything is great until it’s taken in moderation. Just like we talked about how sugar can harm your body in ways you cannot imagine, the same rule applies to alcohol too. Limiting portions of sweet, oily food and alcoholic drinks are the best way to have the perfect balance on your platter. It’s all the better if you’re able to get rid of them completely (I know it’s difficult, but with a little effort, we can all get there, slowly and steadily!)

Let’s get back to natural Holiday cocktails. So, what is an awesome holiday cocktail? My holiday cocktails are all about perfection – a sparkly drink with a dash of freshness, zest, and spice. And today, I will be sharing the recipe of my favorite Holiday Sangria with you all. If you’ve been looking up easy holiday cocktails, here’s the perfect recipe. I’m sure your friends and family will love this one just as all my loved ones back home do.

Oranges

Perfect to bring in the freshness you need in your holiday cocktail; oranges are loaded with lots of benefits too. Full of healthy carbs and water, oranges barely have any fats in them. Despite their sugar content, oranges have a low glycemic index. It is a powerhouse of fibers such as pectin, cellulose, lignin, and hemicellulose. This improves digestion, weight loss, and helps maintain healthy cholesterol levels in your body.

Cinnamon Sticks

A powerful medicinal herb, cinnamon, will bring in the required spice in your cocktail. Loaded with antioxidants and anti-inflammatory compounds, this spice is so powerful that it is used as a natural preservative too. Consuming cinnamon on a regular basis increases good cholesterol in your body and counters the bad cholesterol. It also works to cut down risks of lifestyle ailments such as heart ailments and diabetes.

Anise

A powerful plant rich in many nutrients,  anise boasts of a variety of health benefits. With antifungal, anti-bacterial and anti-inflammatory properties, anise is known to keep blood sugar levels in check. It also acts as a healing agent on stomach ulcers. Rich in iron, anise promotes blood production in your body too. It is an instant mood-booster and works wonderfully to make you feel better. Anise has a sweetish taste and strong aroma – and it is this very flavor that livens up the cocktail!

You don’t really need to get tipsy with loads of alcohol, especially when you can make easy holiday cocktails! Ingredients

  • 1 bottle sparkling apple cider
  • 1 bottle red wine
  • 1/2 cup Brandy
  • 1 tbsp coconut sugar
  • 2 cup cranberries
  • 1 orange sliced
  • 1 apple cubed
  • 2 cinnamon sticks
  • 4 star anise
  • 4 sprigs rosemary plus more for garnish

Instructions

  • In a large pitcher (or punch bowl) combine all ingredients. Stir to mix, cover, and set in the refrigerator overnight to allow flavors to come together.
  • Serve over ice garnished with fresh rosemary sprigs.
