It’s already been two months into 2021 – two months of eating healthy, choosing to live sustainably, and keeping track of our health goals. With the same enthusiasm, we are now stepping into March. Another month to make sure we stick to all the sustainable choices we’ve made. Let’s learn how to eat in march.

Buying our produce locally has tremendous benefits – not only do we get to consume fresh fruits and veggies, but we also have an opportunity to contribute to the environment. The less transport a product needs from the field to our table, the less we will be contributing to climate change. Eating this freshly picked produce has a range of health benefits and is super cost-effective too!

Today, we will be talking specifically about How to eat in March. Spring is almost here, and the markets will now get decked with the March produce. The colorful vegetables and fruits will leave us spoilt for choice.

Broccoli

Strawberries

Who doesn’t love berries? They’re delicious, refreshing, and the best solution to all our sweet cravings. Munching on berries has never been frowned upon, thanks to the outstanding health benefits they offer. Strawberries have all the essential minerals to boost the health of your heart while guarding you against cancer. They are sodium and fat-free and a perfect snack for those looking to hit their happy weight.

If looking to boost your skin health, get yourself a handful of these delicious berry. Strawberries are an excellent source of vitamin C, an antioxidant necessary for immune and skin health. And it’s also a great allay for those looking to boost their Vitamin B, as folate, form the Vitamin B family- important for normal tissue growth, cell function, and fundamental for pregnant women and older adults, is one of its main components.

Apples

An apple a day keeps illnesses at bay – if this doesn’t convince us about this fruit’s impressive health benefits, we don’t know what will! Apples lower the risk of diabetes and are full of prebiotic components, making them excellent for our gut’s health. They also contain compounds that help fight asthma. Rich in fiber and low in calories, apples are great for the health of our hearts too.
