Well, July is here! Now it’s time to enjoy some great fresh summertime produces. Below we will go over the top fruits and vegetables we think you will need to add to your list. So if you want to know what is the July seasonal produce keep reading.
Fruits produce in July
Oh, how we love this fruit. The best-tasting apricots are the ones that are freshly grown. This fruit is low in calories and is excellent for many different health reasons. It can help us improve any eye problems, liver problems, and other health-related issues. Most apricot trees are self-pollinating, which means they do not need other trees to help with their pollination. The best way to store these fruits is to wrap them in a brown paper bag. Then once you’re ready to eat them, pop them out and enjoy.
Blackberries are relatively easy to grow, which makes these perfect produces to put in our home garden. There are five different types of blackberries:
- Erect Blackberry
- Eastern trailing blackberries
- Southeastern trailing
- Trailing blackberries
- Semi-trailing thornless
These blackberries come super packed with nutritional power. They contain 85% water and only 10% carbs. We can create a variety of healthy desserts with this fruit.
Mangoes, the name sounds like summertime in July. The Mangoes are another fruit that is low in calories but come loaded with much nutrition. This produce has been known to help maintain our cholesterol, cleanse our skin, and even alkaline our bodies. We can quickly eat the mango whole or create a delicious dessert. No matter how you eat it, we’re sure you will enjoy the great taste.
Vegetables produce in July
If you haven’t heard of this vegetable, then you are entirely missing out. Kohlrabi is a great vegetable that only sprouts in the summertime months. Eating kohlrabi may improve our digestive system and gut health since it has tones of fiber. To prepare this, we can prepare it the same way we prepare cabbage, Kale, or broccoli.
Okra is a vegetable that is not commonly known worldwide, but it’s a great vegetable to add to our meal plan. We can eat this produce raw, but for our preference we prefer it to be lightly steemed. Try not to overcook it because then you will create an unpleasant texture.
Swiss chard is a great vegetable that will enhance the flavor and the nutrition of any salad. It’s super packed with many vitamins and minerals and super low calories as well. Swiss chard can be grown year-round but is at its max peak in July. The bright color of this vegetable is one of its wildly unique qualities.
