Most of us have heard of lemon and lavender. But have you ever thought about putting those ingredients into a drink? If you haven’t, then you are entirely missing out on the best drink you will ever have: Lavender Lemonade Mocktail. But first, let us go over some reasons why you should include these two ingredients in your daily routine.

The Benefits of drinking lavender

When I say the word lavender, I’m assuming the first thing that comes to your head is fragrance; well, in fact, lavender is much more than that. Lavender is a by-product of a flower; from that flower, you extract oil, which can also be used for consumption. When we have lavender, our body is filled with tons of benefits such as:

It is also filled with Vitamin C, and it’s excellent for gut health. If I continue listing all the benefits of lemons, I will have a complete laundry list. Just take it from me; you must add lemons to your daily routine.

Combining lavender and lemon

Now that we know the benefits of both lemon and lavender, why wouldn’t we combine those two powerful ingredients together in a wonderful mocktail? The taste of these two mixed together is also pretty great. The lavender balances out the bitter taste you get from a lemon. And then, once you turn those lemons into lemonade, it will make the drink even better.

Lavender Lemonade Mocktail

Ingredients

For the Lavender

  • 2 cups water filtered
  • 1/2 cup edible lavender flowers
  • 1/2 cup maple syrup

For the Lavender Lemonade

  • 1 1/2 cup fresh lemon juice
  • 8 cups sparkling water
  • 1 tbsp lavender syrup

Instructions

  • Bring water to a boil in a small pot. Once boiling, add lavender and to a simmer for 5 minutes, then strain lavender flowers out and discard.
  • Return lavender infused water to pot and add the maple syrup. Turn heat to medium and simmer for around 10 minutes. Remove from heat and allow to cool before using.
  • Add lemon juice, sparkling water, and 1 tbsp of lavender syrup to a large punch bowl. Stir well. Add ice and fresh edible flowers to garnish.
