Now, it’s time to entertain in the fruits! And what’s better than indulging in some really good ice cream right in the middle of spring? So let’s get started with a super easy healthy ice-cream recipe.
Now, here’s the deal – sorbets may sound like some super technical delicacy, but actually, they are very easy to whip up. So, how to do an easy pina colada ice cream is what we will be talking about today.
Before we get started with the best pina colada recipe, let’s understand the star ingredient– pineapple– a little better.
Pineapples have this sweet yet tangy taste which makes them the perfect ingredient for a range of sweet and savory recipes. Whether it’s a salad, smoothie, ice-cream, or a burger, pineapples work well with all of them. And that’s precisely why I have chosen this incredibly delicious tropical fruit as the key ingredient in this pina colada sorbet.
Pineapples are loaded with a range of nutrients such as vitamin A and K, zinc, phosphorus, and calcium. Not forgetting to mention vitamin C – pineapples are super rich in vitamin C. This nutrient helps in the overall growth and development of the body while also boosting the immune system.
Full of antioxidants, pineapples help your body to combat oxidative stress. These ‘bound antioxidants’ can survive harsh conditions in the body, thus producing long-lasting effects. Along with this, pineapple also contains a group of digestive enzymes known as bromelain. These enzymes help break down food in a much better way, aiding in the process of digestion.
Along with other lifestyle ailments, pineapples are also known to reduce the risk of cancer. These oxidative combating properties of pineapple can slow down the growth of cancer cells and ultimately destroy them.
Pineapple is a powerhouse of fiber too, and this helps maintain the health of your gut. The health of the gut is a reflection of your body’s overall health, which is why it’s crucial to include fiber-rich foods in your diet.
The anti-inflammatory properties of pineapple help ease overall inflammation in your body. This makes pineapple particularly beneficial for those suffering from arthritis. Thanks to this quality, pineapple also makes the perfect post-workout snack. The bromelain helps soothe inflammation while healing swelling, bruising, and pain, which are common after workouts. It also helps to speed up recovery post-surgery. So if you are looking to build your strength back after a workout or a major surgery, it’s time to include lots of pineapple in your meals.
Pineapple is one of those fruits which are not only tasty but healthy and low in calories too. And that’s why there’s nothing called too much pineapple! On that note, let’s get started with how to make a pina colada. Here we go with the pina colada ingredients for the best pina colada recipe:
